Artist · Dancer · Storyteller · Seeker

I’ve never fit neatly into one box.

I’m Shannon—a dancer, painter, Buddhist practitioner, web designer, social media storyteller, wife, friend, and lifelong creative. This is where all those lives meet.

About Shannon

There has never been only one way to tell my story.

Shannon McGough is an artist, web designer, former professional dancer and choreographer, and longtime Buddhist practitioner whose life has been shaped by creativity, movement, healing, and spiritual exploration.

Curious by nature. Always looking for the next beautiful view.

After studying dance at Point Park University, Shannon spent more than a decade in New York City performing as a dancer, singer, and actress in Broadway musicals and productions throughout the United States and internationally. She later taught ballet, jazz, and Broadway theatre dance at schools and colleges across Vermont and New Hampshire.

Her creative path eventually expanded into painting, graphic design, jewelry, website design, yoga, and the wellness arts. Her paintings—including her award-winning 365 Days of Om series—reflect her fascination with contemplation, repetition, transformation, and the meeting place between art and spiritual practice. Many of her works are held in private collections.

Today, Shannon creates websites and visual content for artists, performers, wellness practitioners, and spiritually centered businesses. She brings an unusual combination of artistic sensitivity, practical experience, and intuitive understanding to every project, helping people express who they are in a way that feels genuine and alive.

A dedicated Chan Buddhist practitioner for more than eight years, Shannon is actively involved in sharing Buddhist teachings online through social media. Across all her work—whether painting, designing, dancing, or practicing—she is drawn to the same essential question: how can creativity help us become more present, connected, and fully human?
